North Composites Engineering Ltd (NCE) values the personal information you provide to NCE and wouldn’t want to use your personal data in a way that you wouldn’t expect. This Privacy Policy explains how we protect your privacy and how you control the use of your personal information.

Introduction
This policy is effective from 01/08/2023 in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and compliance with relevant legislation.
North Composites Engineering Ltd (known as NCE incorporating the Aeroskills International brand) regard your privacy very seriously. We will only ever use data submitted with your permission and solely for communication (and business) between you and NCE, after you have agreed to the terms of usage, which can be withdrawn at any time by you and/or your company directive.
NCE will never pass any information submitted by you to any third party, unless specifically agreed and/or requested by you prior to such actions. The specifics of the NCE privacy policy are set out below, which follow the requirements of relevant legislation, as such changes may occur to maintain compliance.
This privacy policy sets out how NCE uses, stores and protects any information that you give NCE when you use our website and in written form, including emails.
NCE is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using our websites or in written form, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement and the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation, which requires your specific opt-in to use the data. However, NCE will also with your agreement supply relevant information to maintain effective communication with you, until of course you opt to stop such relevant communications and email form.
NCE may change this policy from time to time by updating this and it’s general web pages to comply with any legislation or improvements required and/or proposed by our customers.
Therefore, if such changes affect you we will ask for your permission to maintain mailings and communication with you.
What personal information do we collect and hold about you
In order to effectively communicate with active customers, we collect the following information:
- Name and job title
- Email and mobile number
- Employer
- Other customer supplied data to assess skill levels, future training needs and any specially requested requirements.
Where and how we collect your personal information
We gather this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service. We store the information in paper format and within a separate data storage drive for a period of 12 months after the last communication or when instructed by yourself to remove all or part of this information. The only exception being your personal details and photograph required by the Civil Aviation Authority and/or the MOD are retained for the validity period of the certification, associated with aircraft training courses completed. Such records are used for:
- Internal record keeping and keeping you and your organisation
- We may use the information to improve our products and
- We may periodically send promotional emails about related new products (only if you have signed up to receive emails from NCE), special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- On occasion, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to you and your company’s interests.
- When you contact NCE via phone, email, social media or another route
- When you subscribe to our services
- When you complete a survey distributed by NCE
- When you provide information via our web site or in written form
- When you opt-in to marketing information
We may also collect personal information from other organisations and sources, for example when you contact NCE through a social or professional site such as Facebook or Linkedln. Before providing information to NCE via these channels you should check these companies’ privacy polices and settings to understand how they use your personal information.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable remote storage to safeguard and secure the information we collect online and from you. At any point you or your company can ask NCE to remove such personal data. However, storage of such data will automatically be removed after not accessing it for 12 months.
Links to other websites
The NCE and Aeroskills website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over those websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Controlling your personal information
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:
- if you have previously agreed to NCE using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing NCE at info@northcompositesengineering.co.uk. This email is monitored by the company
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting, if you opt in to this.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act and GDPR. If you would like a copy of your personal information we may hold on you, please email or write to NCE to make the request upon which NCE will respond within 30 days after verification of the identity of the person or organisation making the request.
Marketing
When customers purchase or enquire about products and/or services we will send appropriate requested. You will have the option to opt in for marketing information. However, this mode of communication can be stopped by emailing NCE a request to stop, by inserting in an email subject a notice to “stop sending mailings and/or emails”.
Phone calls
We are not a marketing company and do not cold call and as such phone calls to you or your company will be as a response to business requests or via a direct request to call or return a phone call. In the unlikely event that NCE needs to contact by phone a customer not
previously contacted before, we will first check any stops against the TPS and/or CTPS lists to comply with legislation requirements.
Contact lists
To comply with GDPR we are required to state our policy for contact lists. All our contact lists are stored remotely and contain details of any customer requests, when and where the request came from. To comply with the specific requirements of the GDPR NCE will not hold details of any person who specifically instruct NCE not to contact, to ensure their privacy all related data will be deleted, with the full understanding that the contact has the right to forgotten, unless of course we are subsequently requested to provide information, products or services, in which case NCE will provide the product and service requested.
